Leroy Sané Outlives the Red Card Table in the Draw of Germany with Serbia

Germany is a new looking team which has shown a promising comeback to the international stage with a draw of 1-1 against Serbia in one friendly match. They showed signs of improvement after their disastrous performance in 2018.

LUKA JOVIC COULD BE THE BEST BIG THING FROM SERBIA.

Luka Jovic young career has been one of several twists and turns. After the hype generated when he made his debut for the Red Star Belgrade team at the age of 17, his progress seemed to stagnate. After moving to three different clubs he appears to have found his footing at Eintracht Frankfurt.

He became the youngest forward to score 5 goals in the Bundesliga in the 7-1 demolition of Fortuna Dusseldorf in October. This put him among greats such as Robert Lewan dowski in netting five goals in a single game.

Serbia To Play Against Liverpool

Vladan Milojevic, Red Star Belgrade coach, talks about his belief that his team is playing for Serbia’s pride as they take on Liverpool in Champions League. About fifteen days ago the side was humbled by a defeat by Jurgen Klopp’s team which proved to be an ordinary performance by the team. It took place in Anfield. However, they did have a win against Paris St Germain. Now Milojevic is hoping for home advantage as they play two matches away where they would be devoid of their supporters. This is because of the ban that UEFA has imposed after there have been instances of pitch invasions and fireworks being set off by the fans.

The opposing team of Liverpool would face a hostile host team at Rajko Mitic stadium and they would be without their winger Xherdan Shaqiri. He has been left behind in this game so that local tensions do not erupt because of his parentage linked to Kosova and Albania.

SHAQIRI MIGHT MISS LIVERPOOL UCL CLASH

Liverpool might have started their Champions League campaign this year with a bang with the 3-2 victory over Paris St-Germain. However they would have reduced offensive power when they play Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.

Serbia Coach Content With Team’s Performance

The head coach of Serbia Mladen Krstajic said he was quite satisfied with the team’s performance at the FIFA World Cup held in Russia. The team could not win, but they did their best as per the coach. Serbia lost to Brazil by 2-0 who have been the champions for 5 times so far.

They finished third in this tournament and failed to make in the 16th round. However, the coach has no regrets for not making it to the top. The team was there to show their capabilities. Serbia did miss the World Cup in 2014 and UEFA in 2016. The current result is definitely satisfactory, although they lost, but every team cannot be winners. It is a part of life and one has to accept it. The only sad part is that the team failed to beat the strongest football team in the world.

Krstajic also said that the team did commit a few mistakes while playing against Brazil. However, he was satisfied with the efforts put in by the team. The only shortfall was that the team lost concentration, especially while playing with one of the strongest teams. In such situations, the ability of each individual comes to the fore. The team did take the game lightly for a moment and they were punished for the same. The team did all it could do to win, but unfortunately, it lost.

It is very important to stay alert for 90 minutes or else you will have to face the brunt. It is not easy to play open games against Brazil as it’s undeniably the strongest team so far. The head coach said we have learned from our mistake and trying to improve the quality of the game by overcoming our weaknesses. We are taking all required steps to correct ourselves to show our best performance in the near future.

Jose Mourinho Wants One Of David De Gea Or Nemanja Matic To Become Next Captain

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly name one of David de Gea or Nemanja Matic as the next captain once Michael Carrick hangs up his boots at the end of the season. The former England international has sparingly been used over the course of the campaign and he has recently announced that he would be retiring from the game in order to step into coaching with the Old Trafford outfit.

According to The Mirror, Mourinho has made up a two-man shortlist to replace Carrick as the next captain and this does not include Antonio Valencia. The Ecuador international has been the Red Devils’ skipper this season whenever Carrick has been absent but there are supposedly concerns over the right-back’s age which may restrict his participation for the club in the future. Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has hailed the impact of Scott McTominay, who has become a regular under Jose Mourinho in a short period of time. The 21-year-old had impressed the manager during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, and this saw him integrated into the first-team squad after making just two league appearances last term.

Since then, McTominay has been picked regularly in the match day squads, and he has found himself a regular over the past month amid the fitness concerns of Paul Pogba. The Anglo-Scot has come up with several promising performances during his period, but the best of the lot was against Liverpool, where he managed to command the midfield alongside Serbia international Matic.
