Branislav Ivanovic claims that he may receive a new contract

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic claims that he may receive a new contract from Chelsea after seeing his performances in the last few weeks.

The Serbian is out of contract at the end of the campaign and his poor start to the season raised doubts as to whether Chelsea would extend his stay at the club. Despite his poor form, former manager Jose Mourinho persisted with him and this led to a lot of displeasure amongst fans. Ivanovic appears to have put the bad run of form behind him to even think about staying at Chelsea beyond the summer.

Dirk Kuyt is being approached by other Clubs

Now that it has been confirmed that Dirk Kuyt would not be associated any more with his current club Fenerbahce SK after the ongoing season, the other clubs have started to approach him.

He is going to be available for free and the clubs are looking to pounce on the opportunity.

Kuyt has offers from England as well as from his own country Netherlands.

Feyenoord, a club which Kuyt has served for quite a bit of time in the past, wants him again and so does Southampton FC.

Kolarov thinks the fans should support the players more

Aleksandar Kolarov doesn’t like the way the Serbian fans have reacted to the performances of the national side of late.
The defender reckons that the fans should be giving more support to the players at this tough time, but, rather than that, they are hurling abuses and that is only denting the confidence of the team.
Most recently, Serbia played a European Championships qualifier versus Armenia and failed to win. In fact, they barely prevented a loss there with a leveller in the last moments.

Serbians Hoping To Make 2016 Euros

The Serbian national football team failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup but the squad is hoping they can make their way into the 2016 Euro’s after appointing Dick Advocaat as their new manager.

Dick Advocaat is no stranger to coaching national teams as he has already been in charge of Netherlands, Belgium, South Korea, Russia and United Arab Emirates. The Dutch coach also has experience in managing clubs but he is mostly just focusing his career in national teams.

Drulovic Wants Serbia In 2016 Euro Championships

Serbia’s national team manager Ljubinko Drulović has revealed that he wants to help the team get to the European championships 2016. Serbia have a wealth of established talent like Branislav Ivanovic and Alexander Kolarov, but they failed to get to the World Cup 2014 as a result of poor qualifying campaign, which was also marred by several run-ins with UEFA. The team is now entirely focused on qualifying for Euro 2016 after the appointment of Drulović as the new manager. As he prepares his team for a friendly against the Republic of Ireland, Drulović has revealed his ultimate motto.
