Serbia, who has not qualified for the Euros 2016, is looking to use the summer break to prepare the team for the World Cup qualifiers. Lazar Marković was supposed to be in a training camp with its national side, but he has now been ruled out of all the future games.

The Liverpool player who is only 22 years old has enjoyed a poor start to his Liverpool career. He was signed from Benfica for a fee reported to be £20 million in 2014. He made his debut in a match against Manchester City, which Liverpool lost 3-1. His first goal came in a League Cup match against Bournemouth, which Liverpool won 3-1. However, he will fail to establish himself as a regular player in the Liverpool side and will fail to have a sustained run in the team.

At the start of the 2015 season, the Serbia international player gave signed that he was starting to adapt to life in the Premier League. Indeed, he had a good pre-season with Liverpool, but he was surprisingly sent on loan to Fenerbahce. However, he will fail to adapt to life in the Turkish league and as mentioned above only managed 20 appearances. In fact, most of these appearances were as a substitute since Lazar Marković was most of the time injured.

The latest injury with the Serbia national side means that Lazar Marković may again miss the pre-season with Liverpool and may find himself out of contention for a first team place at Liverpool.
